After rent at my current apt was raised by almost $200 I was scrambling to find someplace nearby to move to quickly. I watched the virtual video on one of New Life Property’s sites and decided to check the place out.

I was told there was no model to walk through and then handed a paper with a vague description. The video I viewed showed a 1,200 sq ft townhome but after filling out all the paperwork I realized I was being assigned an 834 sq ft place. By this time I had already submitted my paperwork and a hefty deposit which I was pressured to give them weeks prior to my move in date and without ever seeing the space. When my circumstances changed and I no longer needed to move there, they refused to return my deposit.

And this was after eight days of calling, getting no answer and leaving multiple voicemails. Im not in a position, financially, to take a loss this large and recover from it easily. It’s Christmastime too, so this will have an impact on that, as well.

Where’s your holiday spirit? Do you need that money worse than I do??
